Our names are Sarah and Kat and we founded Foxy Roxy Grooming back in 2014 when a little dog named Roxy stole our hearts. We are twin sisters that share a love for dogs and we are trying to make a positive difference in the dog grooming world.

While working at a local animal shelter in 2013, we started our grooming journey when we adopted a little Yorkie mix named Roxy. She was in very poor health and required many surgeries and endless TLC. We soon realized how afraid she was of going to the groomers. We just couldn't bare to see her scared so we decided to start grooming her ourselves to make the experience as stress free as possible for her. Soon enough we found ourselves loving the process and grooming became our passion.

Sadly, Roxy passed away in 2022 from health conditions she could no longer battle no matter how hard we tried to save her. She had the most beautiful life with us for almost 9 years. She was no doubt the boss lady of our pack of rescue pups: Effy, Pippin and Lilly. We all miss her sweet and spicy little spirit so dearly. We know her legacy will live on forever and we try to honor her everyday.

 

For about 6 years we worked as house call/mobile dog groomers. We developed our skills and made a lot of lovely relationships with clients and their pups, many of which we still groom today. It was in 2021 we decided it was time to grow our business. We opened a salon in Newport News. Then in 2026 we expanded and opened a second salon in Yorktown. It has been a pleasure building our team of groomers that we trust and together we have created a fun and positive space for everyone.

Since the beginning we have always had one mission...to treat every dog that comes through our salons with the same love and gentle care we gave Roxy.​​​​
